Your Child’s First Dental Visit

Posted .

It’s important for parents to keep their children healthy and strong. But did you know that you’ll need to keep your child’s mouth healthy if you’re hoping to help them stay healthy overall? To do so, you’ll have to visit a dentist regularly—but did you know when you should schedule your child’s first appointment?

We recommend scheduling your little one’s appointment about six months after their first tooth erupts—or when they’re about a year old. While your child may not need care when they’re a year old, starting dental care early can help your child adjust to dental visits.

Our team will be happy to answer any questions you might have during your first appointment with us. We’ll also be happy to examine your little one’s teeth and give you advice on things you could do to improve their oral hygiene. We’ll also try to develop a good relationship with your little one to help them enjoy their future visits with our team more.

If you’re interested in learning more about what will happen during your first appointment with us, please don’t hesitate to give NR Family Dentistry a call at 513.229.7801. Dr. Swapna Nadikuda and our team will be happy to answer any questions you have and address any of your concerns. We’re eager to hear from you soon.
